Kruse-Schiller get set for 2010

Kruse-Schiller Motorsport will start its 3rd Le Mans Series season in 2010 with a brand new engine in its LMP2 Lola. A 3.4 litre V8 normally aspirated Judd engine will be fitted to the Huntingdon designed and built chassis in readiness for a debut next month at Paul Ricard.

Another new partner is Althaus Engineering, who will support KSM in the area of material control, testing and quality assurance. Other, well proven partnerships will continue, and once again the KSM Lola will be equipped with Dunlop tyres throughout the season.

The goal for the team in 2010 is to start with a 3-driver squad and in accordance with the new regulations there will be at least one gentleman driver at the wheel of the KSM Lola B08/47.

On 4th February 2010 the A.C.O announced the 55 entries for the 78th edition of the 24h of Le Mans. Compared to 2009 and 2008, when 12 LMP2 cars were given entries, for 2010 the organisers reduced the LMP2 class to 9 entries only - thus leaving quite a few teams disappointed, among them were KSM.

The team was hoping for its 3rd consecutive entry at Le Mans, but ended up in 3rd place on the prototype reserve list instead. This means that a participation in this event is still possible and Hardy Schiller and Kai Kruse have decided to keep their place on the reserve list until the very last moment.
